Once upon a time, Shakespeare himself will have wandered these very banks. The same river that carried his thoughts now carries light, movement… and, on this particular morning, my attention. Boats drift gently to and fro, not unlike gondolas in Venice, bringing a quiet rhythm to the scene. People come to Stratford-upon-Avon from all over, drawn by intrigue, atmosphere, history, and the sense that something meaningful has happened here.

I'm Lorraine, a British oil painter and I create oil paintings for people who want their home to feel like somewhere they can truly exhale.

My paintings are often inspired by the sea, the countryside and those small, easily missed moments that end up meaning the most.

A shift in light.

A place that feels familiar.

A feeling you can't quite put into words, but you know it when you see it.

Painting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, but after cancer and some life-changing chapters, I came back to it differently.

More honestly.

More intentially.

Now, every piece I create is about connection.

To a memory, to a feeling, or simply to a quieter way of living.
